Achilles heel

Yesterday hands - today it's feet! I've had problems with my right heel for years now and, to be honest, it's now really getting me down. I saw a specialist from Sweden almost 8 years ago when it flared up just before London Marathon. He diagnosed retrocalcaneal bursitis with 'a spur like calcification' and promptly injected the heel I've never had a more painful procedure, and I've had two children with complicated deliveries !!! with polydocanol. I probably needed further injections, but never had them, and have managed the problem since by limiting my mileage, cooling the feet in cold water after running, self massage, stretching etc etc. The only time it was significantly better was when I was expecting Noo, and I ran all through my pregnancy until 5 days before he was born. I would have thought that being heavier would have made it worse??!! It is incredibly painful at times and I'm so fed up with it - whinge, whinge, whinge.....

I'll be more cheery tomorrow - I have a day off!
