They're going up!

Didn't sleep well at all last night, blocked up, tried to sleep propped up, at 4.30 think I'd managed an hour :-/ Hub kindly took youngest and his wife to the train station just after 7am....and left me to get some sleep, which I did, didn't surface until 10....think we'll both be tired tonight though!

We walked into town, posted an item that mum wanted to return, bought all our stamps for the cards and posted those going abroad.
We stopped off for a lovely large cappuccino in our local little cafe, before walking back.

After lunch hub got all the lights, decorations and tree down out of the loft and we decided to put up the outside lights this afternoon, as the forecast for the weekend is horrid!!

One of our neighbours had the same idea too!

I quickly blipped hub putting the lights up along the top of our garage. I put some up around the porch, and put the wreath up, then put some lights up around the balustrade on our decking in the back garden, which we can see through the patio doors, twinkling away in the dark :-)

I have taken the tree out of its box and stood it up to settle overnight, before I make a start on decorating it tomorrow, 4/5 hour job for me ;-)

Before we can position the tree, every year we have to empty out our sideboard, particularly the alcohol cupboard, soo many bottles (!) as it's too heavy to move it the 12/18 inches needed, to fit the tree into its allotted spot. A bit of a faff but needs must!!
