Competitors on London Street

Two stores next door to our hotel (just down from Paddington station)--a merged blip under the same conditions as yesterday. Just as with the sort of pub in that blip, there must be thousands of these small stores in London. View it large to appreciate the detail.

In the morning I saw a man with a small brush and can of paint touching up the faux gold trim on the post in front of the right-hand store. (For the Olympics, clearly, but after the Queen's Jubilee--which is still being commemorated by the little flags flapping on the store.)
