In Utrecht

I was in Utrecht early this morning for a meeting with half the other employees, the other half had this meeting last Monday. Management explained about the new plans, the change in functions, giving notice to about 15 people next year, shifting our paid work to volunteers. Not a pleasant message to bring or receive. I assume they have no choice, but nevertheless... It's going downhill in libraryland, changes have to be made or we'll all close our doors.
