Blue river

Normally I prattle on about the sea or sky being so blue down here (which most days it is, of course) but today I must draw your attention to the Herault river.

It is a sign that we have not had any rain to speak of for several weeks now. It is the rain upstream that washes all the soil and debris downstream and changes the colour of the river. 

This lovely morning, as we cycle by without the need to wear our coats,  it is as blue as I have ever seen it.
