Lights of love.........

These aren't even Christmas lights but they are beautiful. I stood in the rain and shot them.
I have a friend in pain tonight. She is saying goodbye to her husband. He has fought illness for many years. It was the good fight. My heart breaks for her. I performed their marriage ceremony a number of years ago. The joining of two people with so much love and respect was an honor.
So my heart hurts and I can't do a thing except send healing thoughts and send love to both.
I know the feeling of waiting for a loved one to pass. It's surreal. You are not ready and you are powerless. It sucks.
So tonight I say goodbye to one friend and share the pain of another.
Safe travels Jim. We will meet again I am sure.
