Briggate Minerva
I was up at the crack of dawn this morning to get to a fire safety seminar at Leeds University. It was one of the best training events I have attended for some time. As I had taken the morning off, I took some time out to have a quick look around the Art Gallery and the shops.
The blip is the "Brigitte Minerva". A contemporary sculpture by Andy Scott. It's a 5 metre tall draped figure representing the cloth and wool trade upon which Leeds built its fortunes. Andy is also credited with Equus, the much blipped 15 metre high pack horse inside the Trinity Centre.
