Loved this card from my friend.
Long work day. Birthday melded with loss.
Flooded outside so just drank wine at home and now completely floored after a few glasses.
I feel hugely, profoundly sad. I don't mind. I just am.

You know life is just fine and dandy when you get a slightly weirdly over familiar card from your parents carer, who no longer works with them; a message via dodge social media from the vicar at your father's funeral; and more birthday congrats from Internet dating and parkrun sites than anywhere else. Excellent! There must be a dystopian novel in there!
