..........the final frontier.......

Back to work for the first of this weeks two days...........only two days next week and then the last week....not sure how many days I'll manage.

So today.................more tidying and salvaging..............the memory stick now has 5 years of Russian visits in photo form loaded.

The big picture is a memento of our visit to the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry a few years ago...............to meet some real life, genuine, all American..................astronauts!

That's me beside the astronaut in the blue coverall..............he had been involved in the latter days of the Apollo missions........but never got to fly in the mighty Saturn V.........and had also flown three shuttle missions.............it was a brilliant day talking to them and listening to them tell the tales of their missions..............things like this are what I'll miss most after retirement....taking pupils from a small town to meet people who worked hard at Science and did extraordinary things.
