Swiss life...

This may yet be a Christmas present for Dorsetb.... Sorry to spoil the surprise.

The supermarket was actually open when I finished work tonight, so I did a mad dash to get some provisions. Today I found out a) you can't buy self raising flour b)nor golden syrup c) digestive or rich tea biscuits were. Not to be found.

I promised a friend I would bake them a cake on my visit, but am somewhat twarted on lack of oven, scales and ingredients... Am going to 'try' and do a chocolate refrigerator cake.... i 'think' I found some molasses syrup which I'm going to try as a golden syrup substitute.
Or perhaps I might just go and visit the Christmas market....
