A full day

Physical work this morning weeding the raspberries with the volunteers in this community garden.  Youngsters with learning problems etc benefit from spending time helping.  One young lad was washing the eggs laid by the hens there.  Produce is sold to local restaurants and the public.  The weeds were mainly couch grass and as the ground is covered in wood chippings we had a competition to see who could pull out the longest length.  The best I got was 18" which was very satisfying!
Mental work this afternoon with the maths group.  We had fun making cones out of Play Dough and then slicing them up.  Mine was orange and it reminded me of a carrot.  Will look on slicing my carrots tonight in quite a differnt way!
