The breaking news this evening:

"With just a few hours to kick off, Spanish mole found murdered by Italian Police"

The sleepy Italian village of Cranemoristo was rocked today by the discovery of the suspected Spanish mole and small time bookmaker known locally as Myopic Pedro.

Pedro, renown for his discretion and shady dealings, often said by locals to be" able to turn a blind eye to most things" was found dead at approximately 2 pm this afternoon, when workers, digging up gravel to sell to poultry, uncovered his shallow grave.

Local chief of police, Giuseppie Stereotypio admitted that currently they had no leads and nothing to go on...this gives credence to the rumour a gang of wild dogs was roaming the country, stealing leads and toilets.

Locals were said to be shocked, leading to a review of possible sabotage of electrical appliances.

It is hoped that when more detailed studies are carried out by the crime scene investigators we will know if people really do prefer Stork to Margarine, and if you can get quicker than a kwik fit fitter.

A statement from the Police Liason force stated that they were overdrawn to the tune of £17.50 and Rule Britannia.
