St Malo, Fort National

An good day spent exploring St. Malo. We walked out to the fort which is best done at low tide other wise you can get very wet feet or be stranded until the tide turns. The cathedral and museum were also interesting and we had delicious crepes for our afternoon treat-- in my case accompanied with the local " cidre". This blip is of the Fort National taken through these rather odd wooden posts which stretch along the beach--something to do with protecting the shore I imagine.
