Falkirk and the Wheel

Took a drive out to the Falkirk Wheel today. Quite an amazing structure. One of the guys who works there says it takes the same energy to boil 7 kettles as it does to raise these heavy boats and all that water up 90ft ! Now that really is energy efficient. The place itself was pretty quiet, so I had a 99 cone and took a few pics. All in all a pretty good day. All that remains is to settle down with a couple of beers this evening and watch the footie final on the telly. C'mon Spain !
