Festive 2

I actually had a choice of red and green images today. Unbelievable.

Spent a pleasant morning trying to draw/paint the wharf and the rolling ocean and a dramatic sky. Water is hard, in case you were wondering, but it was fun being out there and looking at something in such detail. The back-up photo I took is more accurate both in form and color, but my imperfect drawing gave me the chance to really experience what I was seeing. That bit of scenery is part of me now in a way that the photograph is not. It's something tactile that I don't get anywhere else.
