The early bird...

I'm not making any great claims for this photo, it ain't gonna win any competitions, in fact I'm almost embarrassed to put it out there amongst the likes of Yuba, but it serves to remind me that if you get up early before other folk are out and about, you can sit in peaceful solitude and have lots of little birds, like this Nuthatch, chaffinches, blue/coal/great tits and a PHEASANT(!) drop by to pick up the sunflower hearts you remembered to bring with you.
And now, late-afternoon, whisper it, the sun is out!
