And the tree was trimmed....

All the ornaments were unpacked, admired and hung. So many memories - ornaments from my grandmother's tree, my mother's tree, that our children made and those purchased while on holidays in special places. The boys won't be home with us this holiday season, so a bittersweet evening setting up the tree. We did a quick face time with UK son so he could see the results of our efforts, he was duly impressed. Oldest son was out and about and will have to do his online viewing tonight instead. Great day at work, lunch with a colleague who is rarely in the office, followed by a very large and extravagant retirement party for 2 of our extraordinary colleagues. Quiet night finishing up decorations and cards. Not very hungry due to large lunch and fancy appies at the party. The massive strawberry shortcake was sooooo good, still not hungry at dinner or bedtime.
