I Wonder Who Went?

Before loading the furniture - a small dresser and a couple of glass-fronted bookcases - we went through the books on the shelves just to see if there was anything interesting between the pages. A few old bookmarks and the odd newspaper clipping, along with this concert programme from the summer of 1956. Was it a family outing on a summer holiday? My mum would have still been sixteen. Of course, I can't ask her about it now - I'm sure she would have had a story to tell about it. Apparently the band concerts in Vale Park, Wallasey are something of an institution. At least that's what it says online. A little piece of social history.
The furniture packed into the van perfectly - L was delighted about just how neatly with almost no wasted space. Although there was some heavy rain on the way north, it had stopped by the time we got to Edinburgh, and then we found a parking space right outside our tenement - perfect road trip!
