Dead and Alive

We made the effort to get up and out relatively early so we could walk down into town and back, before the forecasted rain descended.

We got the additional Christmas cards we needed, a couple of Christmas gifts for the girls, one or two grocery items....oh yes, and ordered the turkey! We made it back before the rain, which didn't start until midday.
Mind you, it wasn't too bad, not so heavy and prolonged......apparently that's tomorrow :-(

Had a potter in the garden when we got back to find today's blip. It's amazing how many things are still flowering when you look more closely, including this little lemon shrub rose.

Spent the afternoon finishing off writing the cards and then wrapped all the presents I've bought so far. Need a few more things but not too much.

Had good news off youngest son today, he went to the eye hospital regarding a new contact lens which has been especially made for him to try......it fits well, it's comfortable and he has improved vision with it compared to his glasses :-)

Just had grilled gammon jacket potatoe and salad for dinner.......we are settling down to watch hubs team play Liverpool in the League cup quarter final, fingers crossed.
