I had to spend a couple of hours working on the second draft of a ghastly policy document I'd had to complete on Monday. The only thing that kept me going was the realisation that I'll be gone before the policy itself has to be implemented. Feel extremely sorry for my colleagues who'll have to implement the un-implementable.

I had a quick trip out to get a few essentials - had a rare glimpse of the elusive OldBat (more usually sighted on the foreshore) strolling down Leith Walk with another former colleague, but I was on a bus and couldn't attract their attention. When I got back to the Shore I realised that the sun wouldn't be up for very much longer so I'd better grab a photo. This was taken at about 3 pm.
