the way we were

I'm having a sort out day and came across this big laminated photo of the Socrates gang. I was part of the Socrates Project from 1997 - 99 when my school/college joined forces with schools in France, Italy and Germany for a performing arts event.

This picture (which I might have ummm stolen from the drama studio 12 years ago!) was taken in Cologne, we went on a daytrip break from our base in Essen and to have a break from rehearsals. We had such an amazing time and this one was really lovely as it was more of a reunion event.

That's me in the front row with the denim jacket and bad fringe! I recently found out that Paola who is next to me wearing the shades died last year. Everything at the moment seems to be a constant reminder that life is too short.
