Woe! Oh woe!
Some years back I blipped my left foot all wrapped up after I had minor surgery on it. The surgery wasn't successful and I had to go through two more surgeries. It's still not quite right but I'm not prepared to put it under the knife for a fourth time so I'm living with it.
For some years I've been putting off having the same op on my right foot. Last week I finally caved, couldn't live with the pain any longer so booked in to have it done this week. I've been wavering all week as to whether I'd actually have it done, but I finally braved up and this is the result (taken before it bled through the bandage so as not to disturb the squeamish).
It is only surgery to remove an ingrown and problematic toenail, but having gone through a mastectomy, an ankle full of plates, gall bladder surgery and carpal tunnel surgery over the past 15 years, I can tell you that this hurts the most!! The toe itself doesn't, but applying the tourniquet and then pumping the toe full of anesthetic is more painful than anything else I've experienced - even chemo!
What a wuss I am!
It's the lazy boy for me for the rest of the night.
