My Downfall

I lost me shirt, backed the wrong swan.

The Paddy Power Swan 2000 Guineas.

They waited until the steward had his back turned and then took off like the clappers. My swan called Drake caught up on them and took the lead but he was badly hampered by an intoxicated seagull. He finished out of the places. I though there should have been a steward's inquiry but the steward disappeared into the Harbour Bar and that was the last we saw of him.

Ah well there is always next year.
