What a day :\

In spite of it pouring with rain I decided I'd go out with my bird group anyway as I needed to get out of the house after yesterday.

Off I went, full of confidence, to the reserve we were visiting - only to find I was the only person there. I checked the email about today's class and of course found I'd gone to wrong place! Ah well - I was there, so I sat in a hide for an hour and saw nothing except distant water birds of various kinds.

I took an emergency photo of a rather wet, blond Yorkshire Wildlife Trust highland cow in case I didn't get another photo - guess what?

I didn't!
