The early bird

Catches the worm eel.

Very early this morning, suffering a bit from cabin fever, I took myself and my camera for a walk along the river. It was really overcast and the light was poor. On my way back I saw this cormorant land near the weir - I ran to get near to him and was just in time to see him wrestling with this huge eel. Thankfully the eel managed to get away.
This was the only image in focus and I'm really pleased to have got one!
