Baby, it's cold outside

Snow fell overnight, and the temperature went down to -9 degrees.
Here's my daughter in the hotel car park, well wrapped up for a coach excursion to Bern, across mountain roads so snowy that the coach driver has to put chains on the tyres for part of the journey.
After miles of sheer drops and hairpin bends, it's a surprise when we get to Bern and find not a sign of snow.
