FESTIVE BRUSSELS

Officially Brussels is back to 'normal', but the atmosphere remains as nervous as a rattle-snake in a room full of rocking chairs (thank you, Stephen King!).

Behind me as I take this photo are about ten squaddies toting FN service rifles + other hardware - they're sheltering as best they can from the drizzle... Just around the corner to the left there are eight copmobiles.

On the whole, the squaddies are pretty cool, but the cops seem to be looking for trouble & where they find none, they improvise in a creative way :o(

Wha'ever - you can buy (extra) Santas from white, through milk to dark chocolate for €2.64/100 gr - isn't that neat?
