Black headed gull

After yesterday's rain the water level in Maxwell Park pond was the highest I have ever seen and there must have been 2 or 3 inches of water lying on top of the grass ...... wellies a necessity! I did have some bread with me today so I very quickly became the most popular person at the edge of the pond! The immature black headed gulls were in direct competition with the mallards and pigeons to capture as much bread as they could!
