Stebbing

Messy Church meetings today in Stebbing. On the way back I popped in to the parish church to have a look round, to sit & think. I'm told the stone rood screen is one of only three in the world. The earliest written record of the church dates from 1377, so it's seen plenty of life.

According to Wikipedia Stebbing has a pub, bowling green and 1500 people. A scant record of life, with no mention of the thriving church and community, a full and lively past and a community that hold on to their heritage with delight.
