Wild Orchid.

Such a full and busy day...i'm actually pretty exhausted, lots going on!
Put handles of many cups, brie bakers, small and large mixing bowls....attended to customers, both for the cabins and the pottery! It's summertime on Big Hill!

I did manage to take a short walk, with Max and the dogs, into the woods to see if the light was better to take some shots of this amazing Lady's Slipper Orchid! I am so amazed at this wild and beautiful orchid, growing in amongst the moss!
This flower will last about a week....and i don't know how long it's been open, i found it yesterday!

Now it's time to go find a quiet place to read my book! In a tricky spot...with 3 potential books from the library!!! I think i'm leaning towards The Buddha in the Attic. it's about the transference of young Japanese women/girls really....to American to be married off to mostly middle aged Japanese men working there! Pretty amazing so far!

Tomorrow is Canada Day here...so parties and celebrations abound!
