Scotland's Climate Change March
The weather wasn't as bad as the forecast suggested, but numbers were probably down a bit. Officially 500 attended the march from the meadows to the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens. Here we heard speeches and music with Hadeep Singh Kohli. As this is Christmas the entertainment wouldn't be complete without a pantomime villain. It was expertly played by the Tory speaker, who managed to be condescending and boring as well as taking credit for things done by the last 2 Scottish Governments. He also coincided with the rain and many people left before the contribution from Patrick Harvie the Scottish Greens convener. The 3 photos show the march on the Mound, an individual and a sign showing the Scottish Education system hasn't put enough effort into spelling. Or it could be deliberate and I'm being dense. Let's hope the Paris meeting gets somewhere.
