Calvie by torchlight....

Wet,then dry, then wintry and windy.
Morning spent feeding coos. A limousin  thinking of calving,so following another snow flurry this afternoon,we ran her and 3 pals in to a shed . Have just checked her at 9pm,and she has calved a wee heifer. It is still wet and shivering,but a lot more alive than it would have been outside ! Not sure how many teats actually work on the cow,as her bag looks dodgy . No doubt that will be tomorrows first job.
