Amazing light
Funny that after last nights talk about getting the right light conditions we were lucky enough to witness some amazing light today. We had just come out of the Cinema after watching the 2nd part of The Mocking Jay, part of the Hunger games films, and were surprised to see the sun shining. We jumped in the car and drove down to Alturlie Point which lies almost opposite Munlochy Bay on the other side of the Moray Firth. As we turned a corner the sky was almost black with beams of sunlight lighting up the ground in front of us and the houses in the distance. So many birds were present on the water, in the air, in the fields and on the shore. Some few up and over our heads. Curlew, lapwing and gulls were in great numbers. A bird of prey, possibly a kestrel, which I've seen in the same place before hovered over the old pines. You see the approaching hail storm moving across the Black Isle towards us. Amazing to watch. We returned to the car before the storm hit.
More snow out there today and cold. I nearly slipped on the ice this morning.
Also had breakfast of Pancakes, bananas, blueberry compote and maple syrup, somehow convinced myself that was the healthy choice, in 'Giraffe' ,near Tesco.
