Good news, bad news ...
What a palaver I had with Jack this morning. I was just about to sit down and eat my delicious breakfast of juiced greens when I saw Jack on his own at the back of the garden. As I always prepare his meds sandwich the night before, just on the off chance he'll catch me unawares, I grabbed it and ran up to mum's bedroom window.
I enticed him nearer the house with little bits of sausage - and when he was near enough I threw his meds sandwich. But a combination of a very windy day and poor throwing skills meant it landed far too close to the house for Jack to happily get to. Rather than go down to retrieve it (which would mean a long wait before he came back to the garden) I tried throwing tiny bits of sausage nearer and nearer to the house - then eventually as close as I could to the sandwich - but I'm such a poor shot that it took ages for me to get anywhere near the sandwich - so Jack kept finding the sausage bits and running off to eat them before noticing the sandwich nearby ..
Half a blinking hour it took! And some people reckon computer games are tricky
That was supposed to be the good news! The bad news is that I feel absolutely awful - nauseous and incredibly tired and achey. I checked on the reboot forums and discover that it's to be expected at this stage of my detox - apart from the spasms which are because I'm not drinking enough water.
I had so many salad bits and bobs in the fridge which hit their 'eat by' date today that I polished them off (I happily eat stuff after its date - but wouldn't risk it on mum)
I'm such a tight wad, I can't bear to throw food away.
