Week 1
Back blip
Our week 1 timetable. Although our day starts officially at 9.30, we’re in by 8.30 as the 3 teachers teaching that afternoon often have questions and whoever's giving first inout session needs to get organized and set up the room etc. And of course we never leave at 5.45pm. On a very good good day we're out at 6.15, but it's usually nearer 6.45pm.
TP is teaching practice
SLP is supported lesson planning, which becomes ALP as the course progresses - assisted lesson planning, meaning the trainees come to us with specific questions rather than us talking through the whole lesson together.e
The 10 trainees seem nice - 7 male and one female, all Egyptians and one American and one of the Egyptians was brought up in Canada. Teaching experience ranges from zilch to 20 years. It might be too soon to say, but they seem more organized than the last group. Fingers crossed.
