Le pain

Lots more walking today. Even better fruit, vegetable and fish markets than yesterday. It's such an inspiration seeing the people of Nice being able to choose such amazing fresh produce - and on a Sunday too. Wish I could buy it to prepare our meals.

Spent time in a nearby park watching the world go by - families playing, old friends chatting and I was befriended by a very handsome chap called Hermes (Pomeranian dog, I think). Luckily language did not appear to be a problem between us and he happily sat pressed against my leg for a thorough fuss for about 20 minutes.

Other spots of the day included: a booster seat strapped to the back of a scooter for the rider's very young daughter; more people watching from a super street side cafe where we sampled the most amazing Grand Marnier crepes; but my favourite has to be these two chaps chatting on the street corner, having just picked up their bread.

Love this place!
