Advent

The 'horrible weather continues.

But no matter - I have loads to sort out at home. I am very busy at work during the week, so everything gets pushed to the weekend, with never enough time to do everything I want or need to do.

It is advent Sunday, so I decided on an advent still life of sorts. Advent calendars always start on December 1st rather than the real start of advent, but I got this down from the loft this morning so we are prepared. Everything else can wait a few weeks. The young lady from Tibet was photographed by Magnum photographer Steve McCurry, and features on the front of a CD. I played it this morning - JS Bach's Cantata for the first Sunday of Advent performed live in Cologne, December 2000. Not a tibetan bell to be heard, but I love these Magnum portraits.
