Smell the Satay.

I was first introduced to satay in Malaysia. It is also a popular dish in Indonesia. . The dish consists of seasoned meat, skewered and grilled over an open wood or charcoal fire. Although the satay may consist of diced or sliced meat of a wide variety of animals, it is the chicken that seems to be the most popular here in Malaysia, it is also my favourite. Satay may be served with a variety of sauces. The spicy peanut sauce that often accompanies the satay in Malaysia is one of the reasons why a favour the dish so much. The satays is also usually  served with slivers of onions,  cucumbers and ketupat (rive cakes) on the side.

The satay stations can be seen everywhere in Malaysia, especially on sidewalks and in open food markets where the smell serves to draw customers closer.
