Wet Wet Wet

Heavy rain all day has spoiled the outdoor Christmas Market held in our village as precursor to the switch on of the street decorations.
For the past month volunteers have been putting up lights all around the village. We are known around the Wharfe Valley for putting on a good show. Unlike our neighbouring towns our lights are not provided by the Metropolitin Council but by local donations and fund raising.
Thankfully ten minutes before the switch on the rain stopped and we could all do the countdown!
My shot for today shows a favourite ride provided by a local firm. It is free to ride up and down Main Street but there is a bucket to give donations towards the lights.

I have changed my entry from earlier in the day as there was some thought the event might be cancelled.
