Purple House Finch

This finch at my feeder has pretty bright plumage
for this time of the year.  He was feeding alone and
begging to become a bird portrait.  I am sure his
spring mate was waiting close by in my neighbor's
tree.  They usually do come in pairs.  His bright
plumage is a marvel, don't you think?
