Rainbow Killer

Beautiful and yet so deadly... 

Someone has overfilled their tank today and in driving down Charfield Hill into the village has spread a long wide and very smelly oil slick across the eastbound carriageway, just where the road is potholed the worst and where vehicles will be breaking heavily as they enter the 30mph zone. 

In as far as it's possible to report anything nowadays I've done my best. I hope no-one comes a cropper. There are cycles out today even in the rain, and they and motorcyclists are very vulnerable to loss of control if they hit this.

But it is all the colours off the rainbow; deadly and yet so beautiful.
