The Queen's Oak

After 1½ hour of puppy training in heavy rain and 1 hour of dog walk in heavy rain, I was so ready for a warm cup of coffee. Gosh the weather has been awful today. Mud and dirt everywhere.

The tree behind Beat is the Queen's Oak. It was planted by Queen Magrethe II in 1982. It was grown from an acorn from the King's Oak, which was planted in 1800.

It's my dad's Birthday today, so I'll take him out for dinner later today.
