Freedom Of Entry

Today Cerberus Naval base (Australian Navy) marched into the township of Hastings. It is a ceremony they perform every few year in different Towns not 100% sure why but it is basically asserting there authority to be there.
There were approximately 500 Navy personnel quite an interesting march, although it only lasted about 10 minutes.
Second photo is of the start of the March the Sword is part of the ceremony the plaque states they are allowed to march and bare arms, a new one is produced every time the ceremony is performed.
