Delivering medicine
Wot? Africa? travelling again...
No, this card arrived this morning from Medecines Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) asking for a donation.
It's is one charity I support wholeheartedly and this photograph taken of a MSF team travelling on horseback and on foot across difficult terrain in Ethiopia captures the difficulty Aid workers face in a war-torn zone of getting medical supplies through.
And, in light of what happened in Afghanistan
last month where Americans accidentally bombed a civilian hospital run by Medecines Sans Frontiers it has an added poignancy.
I wish more charities used photographs to show the work they did instead of bombarding us with shocking statistics and facts. A photograph, after all, is worth a thousand words.
