Hidden London

I met up in central London with a group of fellow photographers at the super trendy Citizan M Hotel for a Light and Land photo workshop with tutor Doug Chinnery. We were driven to various photo sites by Terry Gibbins who is a photographer and black cab driver and so has an intimate knowledge of the unusual areas of London.
The afternoon and evening was spent around the South Bank with lots of opportunities for long exposure and low light images with light trails. 

We were also lucky enough to be able to attend the opening night party for the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition at Waterloo Station where we met Charlie Waite and several other well known  photographers. The images on show are superb and the exhibition is a must see for anyone interested in the landscape.

Late in the evening we were taken to this location with it's unusual view of Battersea power station behind the exceptionally busy railway lines. It looked nothing to the eye but as Doug assured us it became spectacular when photographed with long exposures which brought out the colours, reflections and light trails.
