Lancashire day!

What does Lancashire mean to you?
Blackpool was one of the first ever sea-side resorts. I used to visit my Grandparents just down the coast at St Annes (That was where you retired to if your weren't rich and posh enough to retire to the Lakes!)
The route from the Lancaster area to the Ullverston area used to be over the sands of Morcombe bay - more direct, less safe then the long way round by road.
Cartmel was in Lancashire until the boundary changes which created Cumbria out of Cumberland, Westmorland and part of Lancashire.
Happy Lancashire day!
