I was woken by dazzling sunshine streaming through the window and reflected from a mirror - it was followed by the now customary minor gales and rain showers during the day but there was quite a bit of sun.

We went up to the Farmers Market, not really because we needed anything in particular, but because D read on the news that the central portion of Princes St had reopened to traffic (buses and taxis, no trams obviously) after...I don't know how long, it seems like years. We sat upstairs on the bus to get a good view; this one was fairly representative, with a few pedestrians wandering in amazement about the tram tracks taking photos of each other. The no 3 bus here is approximately level with the infamous floral clock.

That's strange; I noticed when I was adding the location that the blipmap appears to have completely done away with Shandwick Place - I know it's impassible at the moment, but that's going a bit far surely!
