The Old Town Hall in The Shambles, Stroud

Today was quiet in The Shambles.  But tomorrow this scene will be filled with stalls and the busyness of a market town. I will be there buying freshly made fish cakes, some organic vegetables and possibly some French cheese brought direct from Paris to Ken's van.  The Women's Institute will be selling their home made produce and some of them will bring home grown plants and flowers.  Local people will meet for coffee, to chat and to feel part of a community.  I will be sitting for an hour in a neighbouring street substituting for the Mayor (who is busy this week) on the community bench, to answer people's questions or try to help them within any problems.  I may take my camera.
