Lapwing

Thanks for all the comments, stars and heart for my Blip yesterday! 24 hours was nearly enough for the sprouts but an extra 12 wouldn't have gone amiss.

A very pleasant (and long) lunch with friends today. I knew I wouldn't get a chance to take any pictures so I nipped out early to our local lake and took a few shots. I'm determined to get a swan in flight sometime but it wasn't going to be today. Instead, this lapwing (or Pee-wit, as we used to call them) was standing contemplating what had happened to his other leg.

A Blipmeet tomorrow which I am looking forward to, and then nothing planned for the weekend. Maybe time to get caught up on Blip comments etc!
