The Elder tree leaves are about the only bright thing today.  It has been a most frustrating day with future care plans for my parents uncertain and the fact that my confused father would be very upset if he realised how he had unwittingly upset my mother.  Now I will have five very welcome days at home before resuming my mother's care.
